Method

Dual wavelength, high resolution, non-dispersive UV analysis.

Multi-wavelength, high resolution, non-dispersive UV analysis.

Non-dispersive UV analysis for measurement of H2S, carbonyl sulfide (COS), and methyl mercaptan (MeSH) in pipeline quality natural gas.   Frontal elution chromatography is used to remove interfering species from the sample gas.

Range Measuring Cell

H2S:  Range @ 228 nm -  30 % H2S / (Cell length), minimum 200 PPM to maximum 100 %

H2S:  Range @ 214 nm - 30 % H2S / (Cell length), minimum 50 PPM and maximum 75 %.

SO2 :  Range -  15 % SO2 / (Cell length),

 minimum of 100 PPM

SO2 : Range -  20 % SO2 / (Cell length),  minimum  100 PPM

NO: Range -6 % NO / (Cell length), minimum 60 PPM.

NO2: Range - 30 % NO2 / (Cell length), minimum 150 PPM.

COS: Range - 50 % COS / (Cell length), minimum 400 PPM.

H2S: Range -@ 228 nm = 20 % H2S / (Cell length), minimum 200 PPM.

 H2S: Range- @ 214 nm = 4 % H2S / (Cell length), minimum 60 PPM.

NH3: Range - 10 % NH3 / (Cell length), to a minimum of 200 PPM.

STANDARD RANGE MEASURING CELLS

 H2S Standard Range: 4,000 / (Cell length) Minimum ranges are 1/4 of maximum ranges.

COS Standard Range: 20,000 / (Cell length) Minimum ranges are 1/5 of maximum ranges.

MeSH Standard Range: 10,000 / (Cell length) Minimum ranges are 1/5 of maximum ranges.

LOW RANGE MEASURING  

H2S: 0–5 PPM minimum and 0–50 PPM maximum.

COS: 0–25 PPM minimum and 0–250 PPM maximum.

MeSH: 0–15 PPM minimum and 0–100 PPM maximum.
