TLG 837 Tail Gas Analyzer Demo from Applied Analytics Rev2

Image
The TLG-837 Tail Gas Analyzer is used to measure hydrogen sulfide (H2S), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and the required air demand in the Claus process. This demo covers the analyzer unit, the patented demister probe, and the optional utility control panel. Difference Between Cloud Point And Vs Pour Point

Cloud Point vs Pour Point  Cloud point and pour point are important physical properties of any liquid fuel. Cloud point, as the name suggests is the temperature at which a cloud of wax crystals first appear in a liquid fuel when it is cooled under special testing conditions. The cloud point of any petroleum product is an indicator of how well the fuel will perform under cold weather conditions. Pour point is just the opposite of cloud point as it refers to the lowest temperature at which movement of oil is observed and the fuel can be pumped easily. As such there is only a slight difference in these two temperatures on the temperature scale but the difference between cloud point and pour point is significant in the use of any fuel. Let us find out more about these two physical characteristics of any liquid fuel. What is Cloud Point? In the industry, cloud point is taken as the temperature below which wax in fuel tends to form a cloudy appearance. This is a condition whi...

Instrument Hook-up Drawing

Instrument Hook-up Drawing Hook-up drawing is a detailed drawing showing typical installation of instrument in a correct manner so that instrument operates properly (gives accurate indication and  prevent any issued which could potentially  affect the measurement such as liquid trap in gas impulse line). Hook-up drawing indicates tubing slopes, position of instrument in reference to process tapping point, scope break between instrument vs piping. Hook-up drawing also gives information the requirement of bulk material for each installation. It also details its specification (size, type and material) and the quantity. There are two types of hook-up drawing: Process Hook-Up This hook-up drawing contains typical installations for instrument which connects to the process Pneumatic Hook-Up This hook-up drawing contains typical installations for instrument which requires instrument air such as control valve, actuated valve Reference drawing: P&ID, Installation De...

GE Panametrics Moisture Probe

Image
GE Panametrics Moisture Probe This moisture probe is also known as ALUMINIUM OXIDE MOISTURE SENSOR . An Aluminium   probe is chemically treated to form a thin porous coating of aluminium oxide. The aluminium oxide is then coated with a thin, permeable layer of gold. . The gold layer and the aluminium probe form the anode and cathode. The gold layer is permeable to moisture and conductive. This forms the second electrode of a capacitor. The pores in the aluminum oxide layer absorb moisture from the gas stream in amounts directly proportional to the moisture content of the gas stream. The absorption of water molecules changes the capacitance of the sensor. The capacitance of the sensor is measured which is then converted to the moisture value. The radiuses of the pores in aluminium oxide layer make the sensor specific to water molecules. Types of  Panametr ics moisture probes 1. M Series     - Moisture and Temperature me...

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ADVANCE SULFUR RECOVERY PROBE (ASR PROBE ) AND HEATED ACID GAS PROBE (HAG PROBE)

ADVANCE SULFUR RECOVERY (ASR PROBE ) HEATED ACID GAS (HAG PROBE) SULPHUR COLLECTION RESERVOIR : collects sulphur  form  back down the sample probe FIBER FILTER : The part of the filter assembly which is the first filtration stage this filter remove coarse particulars and some liquids   SULPHUR KNOT OUT (SKO): Cooler the sample gas to the temperature of the sample probe to remove excess sulphur MENBRANE FILTER : The membrane filter is the second filtration stage .This filter removes fine particulars and high surface tension liquids such as water ,alcohols , glycols and some amines from the sample    COALSCER : promotes the removal of the fine sulphur mist and droplets sulphur recycle tube. Transfers collection sulphur from the sulphur collection reservoir to the suction of the aspirator where it Is returned to the process via vent isolation valve TEMPERATURE :  130  °C Check ...
